Each year with APCC, we made an effort to improve the conference by adding themes that would help us share with our guests, students, faculty, and staff the focus we have on bringing everyone together. For the first two years, we were trying to figure things out and were very excited just to have the event. Over the following years, we have chosen themes that we believe will inspire our students to attend the conference, encourage them to network, practice their skills, and think about their future.
Why do we host this event each year?

The APCC is an annual conference held here at BYU–Hawaii. Each year, this conference provides our students dynamic opportunities to meet, network, and connect with professionals from Oceania, Asia, and Hawaii. As a Career Services department, we acknowledge the educational learning done in the classroom, and as a complementary experience to their education, we have created the APCC conference to allow them to practice their professional skills via this platform.

As our students study and learn amongst their peers who represent over 60+ countries and languages, APCC provides an engaging platform and immersive learning experience to its diverse audience. These experiences help shape our students’ future by making these visiting professionals accessible over a three-day conference hosted here on our campus and at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
